This case study explores EcoFood, a mid-sized food production company, and its implementation of sustainable food management practices to minimize waste. EcoFood adopted innovative approaches such as AI-powered inventory management, upcycling food byproducts, and forming partnerships with suppliers to streamline processes. Additionally, the company launched consumer education campaigns and donation programs to address surplus food responsibly. Despite challenges like high initial investment and resistance from some stakeholders, EcoFood achieved remarkable outcomes, including a 42% reduction in food waste and enhanced community support. The study highlights the importance of integrating technology, fostering collaboration, and promoting consumer awareness in achieving sustainability goals. EcoFood’s journey serves as a valuable blueprint for other organizations seeking to address food waste effectively and build a more sustainable food system.
